See The World’s First Drive-in Shopping Center

Opened in 1923, the Country Club Plaza was the world’s first drive-in shopping center. It was built at that time on land which was home to pig farms, the distinct odor no longer prevails, but the smell of freshly-popped popcorn from Topsy’s and scented candles from Bath and Body Works greet your senses as you drive in.
