Gary Ridgway is one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S. history, getting convicted for the murder of at least 49 people, but confessed to having killed more. Known as the “The Green River Killer,” he had a below average IQ of 82 and even had dyslexia, but his murderous run lasted almost 20 years before he was finally caught. At one point, he already became a suspect for the Green River killings due to his previous arrests. Police even took DNA samples from him and subjected him to a polygraph test, which he passed. All his victims were women, with most of them known as sex workers and hitchhikers. When he was finally arrested, he plead guilty to the murders and even pointed out where he dumped the bodies of his victims to avoid the death penalty. He is currently incarcerated at the Washington State Penitentiary.
