His family made their own website called ‘Finding David Sneddon’ in December of 2004, a few months after his disappearance. It all seemed so strange that their son, an experienced hiker, as well as former Eagle Scout whom had dealt with much more difficult trails than the one he allegedly died on, had just gone missing without a clue. And to make matters worse, another 11 years would pass before they would even have any relevant information pertaining to David and his case.

Nicholas Craft And Melanie Kirkpatrick

Over a decade after David’s disappearance, his parents would receive a phone call from one of the unlikeliest of places. A lawyer named Nicholas Craft, who also happened to be a North Korea expert, told them that David’s case sounded like many other North Korean kidnappings. And crazily, another North Korean expert named Melanie Kirkpatrick couldn’t agree more. She would even go on to say that his story sounded all too familiar.
