Finding The Cash

As years passed, it seemed that the FBI was only getting further and further away from figuring out what happened that cold November day in 1971. Then amazingly, in 1980, Brian Ingram, an 8-year-old boy who was picnicking with his parents near the Columbia River, found 3 rolls of decaying $20 bills. When the bills were further investigated, they totaled $5,800 and had unbelievably matched serial numbers to those used in the D.B. Cooper case 9 years before.

Combing The Area For Possible Clues

As soon as the authorities realized what the boy had found, they made their way to the Columbia River and scoured the area with everything they had. They searched the beach, the Riverside and all surrounding areas close to where the young lad had found the rolled up cash. To their complete and utter frustration, they still hadn’t found any other evidence in the perplexing case.
