{Raw, Vegan} Hot Chocolate Super-food Elixir

A frothy treat of tantalizing spices, nurturing cacao, and health-boosting super foods is the perfect treat to cozy up with this holiday season. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and life-enhancing anti-oxidants, this toasty elixir may be the perfect Christmas indulgence you’ve been waiting for.

Because the cacao-infused concoction is warm and loaded with delicious ingredients, it’s easier than ever to drink one’s super-foods and enjoy them too! (This recipe offers enough so you may share this treat with a loved one!)

{Raw, Vegan} Hot Chocolate Super-food Elixir

Serving Size: 2

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

  • 4 Tbsp Raw Cacao Powder
  • 4 tsp Maca Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Raw Honey (or vegan: Coconut Sugar, Agave Nectar, Maple Syrup)
  • 1/8 – ¼ tsp Sea Salt
  • ¼ Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Ginger Powder
  • Half of a Vanilla Bean, scraped (or 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract)
  • 3 Cups Almond, Hemp, or Coconut Milk (or other plant-based milk)

Directions:

  1. In a small-medium sauce pan, warm your milk and let cool. If using raw nut milk, do not heat above 118 degrees Fahrenheit (42 degrees Celsius).

  2. In a blender, combine all remaining ingredients and blend on high until smooth and creamy.

  3. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon, and consume immediately!

Health Benefits:
