Notorious Child Killer Ian Brady Confirmed Dead After Losing Battle With Lung Cancer

By: Brandon Richard/David Wolfe ITV reports that Brady died at a “high-security psychiatric hospital” in North West England. Officials at the hospital have reportedly not made it clear what Brady died from but ITV, citing a court hearing from earlier this year, reports that Brady was known to have been suffering from not only terminal cancer but emphysema as well.

According to The Daily Mail, Brady is known for having killed five children with his partner Myra Hindley in the 1960s.

Among the victims was a 12-year-old boy by the name of Keith Bennett, whose body is reportedly still undiscovered – and may remain that way as Brady was the only one who knew the location.

Bennett’s mother reportedly died in 2012 after decades of searching for her boy’s body.

When police informed the families of Brady’s victims that the killer had died, one member was reportedly happy.

“I poured myself a glass of wine when I found out,” said Terry West whose sister Lesley Ann Downey (pictured below) was among Brady’s victims.

“But I really feel for Keith Bennett’s brother Alan and the rest of his family,” she reportedly added. “This probably means they’ll never know where his body was buried.

Terry Kilbride, whose brother John (pictured below) was another one of Brady’s victims, was apparently more somber upon learning about the killer’s death.

“It’s a lot to take in,” he reportedly said. “It’s been years and years of anguish and pain for us and the families of the victims. He’s ruined our lives all these years and he’ll still ruin it even though he’s gone. He was a murderous psychopath.”

News of Brady’s death has resulted in quite a celebration online.
