How many times have you heard people say that they don’t give money to homeless people because “they always spend it on alcohol”? It’s a common misconception that if you’re on the streets, you’re probably an addict, but is this justified?
In an effort to find out, YouTuber Johal asked some homeless people their preference. In one hand Johal has a bottle of liquor and some cigarettes; in the other he has a gift card for Subway sandwich shop. Johal offers every person he meets a choice between these two, and the results (100% of those asked chose this option) may surprise some viewers.
