Taiwan-born actress Shu Qi began her career as an erotic film actress in Hong Kong, and was also featured in the Hong Kong version of Penthouse and Playboy. Her portrayal of her role in her adult film was so well received, she became quite in demand, even winning awards for her work. She eventually was cast in the movie ‘The Transporter’ with Jason Statham and by 2014, she was listed as the highest paid actress in China.
