Humans have a much easier task of protecting themselves from predators compared to most animals. In result of human activity, the effects of pollution, and habitat loss, the number of endangered animals in the world is growing by the day.
To raise awareness about this issue, artist Hidreley Leli Dião decided to photoshop a number of beloved animals – many of which are endangered – to give them a bit of ‘defense’ against creatures that might threaten their lives.
The activist shared with Bored Panda:
“The number of endangered animals in the world growing by the day, due to many environmental problems and the influence of man on nature. Research indicates that by 2050, can be extinguished from the earth planet 1 million animal species.
June 5 was the world day of the environment ambient. This year’s theme calls for zero tolerance to illegal wildlife trade. It would be great if our beloved animals were protected with armour to defend human beings!”
Sometimes you have to get silly with a concept in order to raise awareness about an issue as important as habitat loss and species extinction.
