Amit Raizada came to the United States with his parents and siblings at the age of two. The family migrated to America in search of greener pastures. The mentorship boosted his confidence and business acumen. However, he still lacked the funding required to venture into business. In 1998, the enterprising young man used his savings to acquire a LetsTalk Wireless franchise in Michigan.

A meteoric rise to prominence

The franchise helped Amit rise to prominence in the wireless retail sector as he tapped into the massive opportunities obtaining in the market. It came as no surprise that Nextel Wireless acquired the business and tasked Amit to formulate a plan to launch retail branches nationwide.

In 2002, Raizada made a bold move by launching a venture capital startup, Spectrum Business Ventures (SBV). The launch came after he left Michigan to settle in Kansas City. The startup became an essential component of his broad investment portfolio. 

To ensure the success of the new venture, Amit recruited an experienced team of innovators and advisors. With time, the tycoon expanded his portfolio by investing in logistics, entertainment, real estate, fintech, and healthcare technologies. The venture capital startup began making significant profits within five years. 

The firm helped kickstart many technology startups that became prominent players in their sector. By 2012, SBV boasted over 140 portfolio investments and up to 50 projects in the real estate sector according to his Twitter profile.
