All thanks to a company led by its generous business owners that heard about this 4-year-old and his family, they have found a new hope for healing his sickness.

Noah Alderson was born with a multitude of heart defects, and local doctors had already previously informed his family that there was nothing they could do. A small miracle then ensued when the surgeons at Boston Children’s Hospital said they could save this little boy’s life through their state-of-the-art procedure. All the family needed to do was to figure out how to transport Noah across the country from their hometown in Spokane, Washington all the way to Boston with the medical equipment he needs for survival. At the young age of four years old, Noah had already been through two heart surgeries in his hometown and is dependent on medical equipment 24 hours a day. To start, he needs his oxygen tank, a nebulizer, feeding tube, ventilator and the trach. It’s challenging enough traveling with healthy kids, what more to pack up and leave the house with Noah and his machines, plus his three other siblings! The cross-country drive seemed impossible, until a company called Outdoorsy lent a hand with their extreme thoughtfulness and generosity.

Because flying or going by car were both not possible, the family said that an RV was the only way they would be able to transport everyone and everything safely. In order to raise some money, the Aldersons started a GoFundMe page so they could find someone to either lend them an RV, or allow them to rent it, as well as raising $10,000 to cover all travel expenses. While they were able to raise donations amounting to $5,600, what happened after that was even better than Noah’s family could have ever imagined.

A wonderful person decidedly shared the GoFundMe link on the Facebook page of the Outdoorsy RV Owners, with a hilarious caption that said “Delete is not allowed.” This group has 6,500 members who quickly helped out to the cause. Sebastian Bularz, the man behind the Seattle RV Adventures immediately purchased a brand new Class C RV that he specifically chose for the family’s necessities.

Another miracle came after this blessing which was from the CEO of Austin-based start-up company called Outdoorsy. This company is known as the ‘Airbnb of RV’s.’ Outdoorsy offered to cover all costs of the RV rent, the gas, cost of campgrounds, insurance, and to top it all off, they also included paying for all expenses of a hotel room close to the hospital for the family to stay in while the procedure is being done, which would likely be at least a few weeks.

“We’ll also ensure that a backup generator is provided so this family never has to worry about an electricity outage along the way,” Jeff Cavins, CEO of Outdoorsy told Good News Network.

Employees at outdoorsy even went the extra mile to create a fun-filled 12-day itinerary that the whole family can enjoy during their road trip.

“The minute we read the news about Noah and learned about the Alderson family’s special need for an RV to transport him to Boston, our team knew we had to help take this worry off their plate. Outdoorsy is built upon the foundational belief that family and our time spent together is of upmost importance. We are proud to be a small piece in Noah’s bigger life story and to help fuel his love for ‘big cars’,” added Cavins.

Noah’s family is beyond grateful for all the help and generosity that the RV owners community extended to them that Noah’s mother Tanasha Alderson said: “This offer is so generous and the team at Outdoorsy all have amazing hearts to have given us this once in a lifetime opportunity to make memories and spend time together. Especially because time with our son Noah has always been an unknown as far as how much time we get with our little boy, as his heart and lungs are so complex. Boston Children’s feels so confident they can help him. The question of how do we get him there has been on my mind for many sleepless nights. God has heard our prayers – even the silent ones we never mentioned.”

Noah’s cross-country road trip started last August 1, and his surgery is scheduled for the 19th of August. Follow his and his family’s journey on their Facebook page called Noah the Brave.
