An activist used Twitter to explain the difference between rape and consent to those who still just don’t get it.
Though rape and consensual sex are two very different things, some people are still mystified by their differences. It’s for this reason that activist Nafisa Ahmed decided to use the popular social media platform Twitter to explain to the world how they contrast and did so with five examples.
TwentyTwoWords shares that Ahmed employed a few different analogies to explain the difference between rape and consent, and began by writing,
“I don’t get how rape is so hard to understand for some men. But, if you put it like this, they get it.”

Unsurprisingly, the reactions from people on the internet have been mixed. Overall, however, her efforts have been applauded.
