This brave activist strolled through the city of Raqqa, which has been taken over by ISIS, with a hidden camera to expose what life is like under the terrorist organization’s control.
ISIS propaganda presents the idea of sisterhood and the chance to live in a community of like-minded women, which is females flocking to join the terrorist organization “at unprecedented rates,” according to a report by the nonpartisan public policy institute, New America.
Because of this, a brave Syrian woman was able to infiltrate the city of Raqqa, which has been overtaken by the terrorists, without attracting suspicion. Her intent? To expose a bit of what life is like under ISIS control.
She walked the streets with a hidden camera under her niqab, placing herself in uncompromisable danger to capture the footage.
At one point, a man orders a woman to cover her face because “God loves women who are covered.” Another disturbing scene reveals a woman walking her child to a playground with an AK-47 slung over her shoulder.
From the Youtube video:
“The world got a rare glimpse at life inside the ISIS-controlled city of Raqqa thanks to an intrepid, unnamed Syrian woman who wore a hidden camera under her niqab as she walked around the northern Syrian city, which fell to ISIS militants 18 months ago.”
The activist participated in some seriously dangerous work to reveal some of the suppression that is taking place in the world, relays Minds. Her whereabouts and safety are unknown at present, but by no means does that mean her efforts should be ignored.
