While Will Smith was promoting his new movie ‘Suicide Squad,’ he took a moment to reflect on the present political debacle in the United States and, most importantly, the presumptive GOP nominee’s unacceptable behavior.

Sadly, when Donald Trump makes a sexist, racist or bigoted comment nowadays, the public almost expects it. This is distressing to Smith, which is why he explained his thoughts on the political candidate’s behavior in length.

He told news.com.au in an interview:

“For a man to be able to publicly refer to a woman as a fat pig, that makes me teary. And for people to applaud, that is absolutely f**king insanity to me. My grandmother would have smacked my teeth out of my head if I had referred to a woman as a fat pig. And I cannot understand how people can clap for that. It’s absolutely collective insanity.”

In case you’re not aware which instance her refers to, it pertains to the interview Donald Trump did with Fox News host Megyn Kelly. When the host confronted Trump on live television during the first GOP debate for labeling women “fat pigs,” “disgusting animals,” and “dogs,” Trump responded that he had *only* been mean to Rosie O’Donnell.

Of course, after the interview, he called Fox a ‘bimbo’ and even suggested that her questioning was a result of her menstruating. “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever, he stated. He later denied this was his intention.

Subsequent weeks revealed more of his sexist streak. Not only did he make a jest at Hillary Clinton for using the bathroom as all normal humans do, he even called Heidi Klum fat, saying she was “no longer a 10.”

Regarding Trump’s abrasive behavior towards women, Smith stated:

“If one of my sons, I am getting furious just thinking about it, if one of my sons said that in a public place, they couldn’t even live in my house anymore.”

The actor, like many U.S. citizens, is in disbelief that the business tycoon could become the next President of the United States.

“For me, deep down in my heart, I believe that America won’t and we can’t (elect Mr Trump). Of all the things he has said, and we could go through the laundry list, that was the one that was such an absolute illustration of a darkness of his soul. I just cannot figure out how people can clap for that.”

He continued:

“I think as much as we want to believe that love is the greatest human motivator, it’s not. Fear is. Fear is the most dangerous and powerful motivator because when a human being gets scared, fight or flight kicks in. And there is this really separatist non-inclusive xenophobic, racist wave that is sweeping the globe that is making us pull apart farther than putting us together.

The importance of leaders is that they have to be level headed, they have to be calm, because when people get scared, they lose their morality and that reptile mind takes over. It’s the type of thing that you see in all forms of nature, but our leaders can’t be that.”

What do you think? Does the actor make some good points? Or is it worth overlooking the GOP nominee’s unsavory flaws to ensure Hillary Clinton doesn’t make it into office? Please comment below and share this news!
