Unfortunately for some new moms, they don’t have anyone nearby to help. They live far away from family and friends, and their husbands have to work day in, day out just to make ends meet. It’s hard when you feel like you have zero support. So if you feel the need to take a breather, go ahead and take one. If she’s crying non-stop and you can no longer stand to hear her cry, put her somewhere safe, and go inside the bathroom, or even into another room and just take a deep breath. And when you’re feeling ready to handle the pressure that comes from having someone completely dependent on you, go ahead and get back to your child. It doesn’t make you any less of a parent because you need some time for yourself.
