Former presidential candidate Ron Paul: I wouldn't vote for Ted Cruz or Donald Trump

Believe it or not, it was Ron Paul who once stated: “When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads.” Obviously, his sentiment toward the political system hasn’t changed much, as he recently expressed his disdain for the two-party system on live TV – or, more specifically, the front-running candidates.
During an interview with CNN, the former presidential candidate made it clear that he will vote 3rd party if the presidential race comes down to Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton. There was no mention of which candidate he would specifically vote for, but he did say that Libertarian or Independent party candidates are a possibility.
Regardless of the fact that Ted Cruz recently dropped out of the race, Paul also said he couldn’t support him because the Republican is a “theocrat” who wants to rule with religion. When he was pressed to relay specific reasons for not supporting Clinton, the former physician and author made no comment. Activists have noted, however, that his fierce anti-war stance clearly opposes her militaristic tendencies.
Concerning Trump as President, Paul’s stance was clear as day.
“Quite frankly, I’m not sure exactly what he’ll do and that bothers me as well,” he said, “because he can give two positions in one speech.”
As The Anti-Media points out, Paul also stated that both the Republican and Democratic parties – from Reagan to Obama – are controlled by the “Deep State” and powerful special interests.
