During a march in Paris on Sunday to honor those killed during the attacks on the Charlie Hebdo offices, the crowd sang John Lennon’s Imagine in a moving show of defiance.
A reddit user posted this video, explaining that he lives in central Paris and the march passed by his apartment. He decided to play peace songs out of his window, and when John Lennon’s classic song of peace came on the stereo, the crowd broke into song and applause. A very moving moment which shows that hope is more powerful than fear.
