Pascal is from the Congo and spent years in refugee camps before arriving in the USA with his little brother two years ago. He was determined to work hard and give his brother the gift of education, which he paid for by working four jobs, reports the Good News Network.

If anyone deserves a break, it’s Pascal. He goes to school 16 hours a week, works 36 hours a week in one job and 36 hours in another. “Yeah, I haven’t slept for three days,” he says in this video, always smiling.

Pascal thinks he’s giving an interview about his experiences, but he has no idea he’s about to get pranked in the most adorable way. He prefers not to discuss his life in the Congo; it was too traumatic.

“It was crazy. People die every day,” Pascal says. “I don’t want to talk about it.”

However, he hasn’t forgotten those left behind in his home country and sends what he can to the people still suffering in the refugee camps he escaped.

“Thinking of what you lived when you were there…you can’t just be like, Oh, I don’t have money,” Pascal says.

While Pascal is giving his fake interview, a man pretends to overhear the conversation and gives Pascal a gift. Suddenly, the whole restaurant is showering him with Christmas presents, leaving him overwhelmed. But the biggest surprises are yet to come because the Christian act of kindness group ‘Praynksters’ have chosen Pascal to receive the best presents he could ever wish for: a new car, some cash, and a full wedding package for him and his fiancee, who he met after arriving in the USA.

“I loved her the first time I saw her,” he grins.

Thanks to the love shown by a group of strangers, Pascal can look forward to a brighter future with his wife, not to mention an easier commute between his jobs and college.
