Identical twins Cipriana Quann and TK Wonder own a lot of hair. Though they were once bullied for this fact, they’ve since embraced their awesome locks and now are even famous because of the shared look!

Growing up, the girls hated their bouncy, bushy hair. For a while, they did their best to conform to society’s promoted beauty standards by straightening their fabulous tresses.

“I was beginning to actually hate my hair and seeing it as a huge obstacle,” commented Cipriana.

As time passed, however, both decided that the best thing to do was stop comparing themselves to others and start loving their unique look(s). After creating separate Instagram accounts, the girls experienced wild success as their fan bases kept growing.

Creative geniuses behind the natural hair blog “Urban Bush Babes,” in partnership with their friend Nikisha Brunson, the sisters have a wide platform to advocate for loving oneself and accepting the looks they were born with.

“I think it came to a point where it was derogatory toward people who wore their hair natural, and there was a certain stigma around people who wore their hair natural or in an afro,” TK Wonder told Cosmopolitan. “It was about breaking down stereotypes and derogatory perceptions that people had about natural hair.”

Empowered and inspired to help others, these girls are ones to watch – and not just because they have fabulous hair.
