Trump supporters, who, in general, have a bad reputation for violence at rallies and hate crimes, are now sending threats to GOP delegates that have been assigned to attend the Republican National Convention if they don’t nominate Trump to be the Republican presidential nominee.

A large portion of the threats are being aimed at officials in Colorado, Tennessee, and Indiana, where investigations are being conducted as to the sources.

The threats have gone so far as to threaten death, harm to family members, and hangings. Steve House, GOP chairman in Colorado, received about 3,000 calls “with many being the trashiest you can imagine” after awarding all 34 delegates to Cruz.

Craig Dunn, a Republican delegate in Indiana, has also received threatening phone calls and emails after publicly criticizing Trump. He said, “When they reference burials and your family in the same email, and telling you that you’re being watched, that’s concerning.”

Roger Stone, a Trump ally and informal advisor, spoke of the upcoming convention and said, “We will disclose the hotels and the room numbers of those delegates who are directly involved in the steal….we’ll tell you who the culprits are. We urge you to visit their hotel and find them.”

The “steal” that Stone is referring to is the idea that Trump’s delegate votes are being stolen from him by “anti-Trump party hacks” that vote for Cruz instead.

Though Stone claims that he intends for people to simply have a discussion with Republican delegates when releasing their hotel room number, it’s likely that, knowing Trump supporters, violence will occur at some point.

Should Trump be held responsible for this influx of threats? Are Trump’s delegate votes really being stolen from him? Comment your thoughts below and share this article!
