This animated video was hand-drawn by an artist from the Netherlands. Well-received by many festivals, it?s bound to change your perspective on death.
To die without truly living is most peoples? greatest fear. And, considering no one truly knows what awaits the soul after death, this is, for many reasons, understandable. If you are one of the many, however, who fears death, perhaps the following short video drawn by Marsha Onderstijin will slightly change your perspective on ?the big sleep?.
Entitled ?The Life of Death?, the animated video was hand-drawn by Onderstijin, who is lives in the Netherlands. The artist studied animation at the St. Joost Kunstacademie in Breda, where she specialized in 2D animation. The film she created was well-received by numerous animation festivals and sweetly relays the story of the day Death fell in love with Life.
As Collective Evolution points out, the animated video does an excellent job presenting a more approachable version of death as ?he? goes about his day as only death can. With calming background music, captivating imagery, and a plot anyone would have difficulty turning away from, it?s a story that should be passed around to all, young and old.
In the following film, death is presented as a loving companion as opposed to a terrifying figure who harvests souls for joy. It’s because of the love Death holds for Life that beginnings and ends exist. Watch the 5-minute video for yourself below:
