“I love giving blowjobs to sandwiches.” The opening line is abrupt, but that’s likely what #WomenNotObjects was after when it created its latest campaign.
In the video above, various women hold up posters of degrading adverts and provide voiceovers to demonstrate the ridiculous messages advertisers are trying to ram into the public’s mind.
“I love sacrificing my dignity for a drink,” muses one woman. “Obviously, my cleavage can sell anything,” comments another.
The powerful video draws attention to the very important issue of sexual objectification – of both men and women – and prompts one to consider how ludicrous advertisements might sway the way one perceives and treats others.
