There are cat cafes and cat lovers, but did you know there are also cat mosques?

We’re not kitten you! In Istanbul, Turkey, there is a mosque that allows dedicated believers to worship next to cuddly cats.

The Dodo reports that the Aziz Mahmud Hüdayi Mosque’s imam Mustafa Efe has been allowing stray cats into the mosque since last year. Reportedly, he doesn’t want them to get cold or die during the winter.

The amazing samaritan does his best to comfort the cats and help them feel at home. In fact, the felines feel so safe and comfortable in the mosque, one cat even relocated her kittens into the place of worship!

Efe wrote on Facebook:

“The kitty has found the heart of compassion and mercy.”
