This amazingly caring bus driver from Utah started braiding a little girl’s hair whose mother had passed three years ago.

The best school bus driver award goes to Tracy Dean. She has been braiding Isabelle Pieri’s hair every morning since she lost her mother. One day, she noticed that Isabelle had some trouble fixing her hair, so she helped her out and hasn’t stopped.

Isabelle’s mother, Patricia Pieri passed away three years ago due to a rare brain illness. Isabelle had struggled fixing her own hair, but luckily, Tracy was there at the right place and time to extend a lending hand. What has now become part of their morning routine, The hair-styling bus driver braids the girl’s hair.

“I can tell she was struggling with her hair. We usually do two French braids first and once in a while she just wants one braid. I also taught her how to brush her hair. She’d get on the bus and she’d say, ‘I brushed my hair. Does it look good?’ I’ll say, ‘You did awesome.’”

The sweet bus driver is a mom of four, and one of her children is Isabelle’s age. She says it’s not a big deal for her to help the girl out with styling her hair and she actually enjoys it.

“It’s just the way my mom raised me, to be nice to everyone—people who need a little love in their life,” Tracy shared with ABC.

Philip Pieri, Isabelle’s dad works long hours at a nearby convenience store in American Fork, Utah. When his beloved wife passed away, he also tried fixing Isabelle’s hair, but couldn’t really manage to do it as good as his wife. He’s very grateful to the thoughtful lady that takes extra care of his little girl every morning.

“She’d get mad at me for pulling her hair. I didn’t know how to do it. One day [Isabella] came home and it looked beautiful. I call her my princess and she looks the part, she plays the part and her confidence is way up, which is what I’ve been intending,” shared the single father.

As reported by NBC News, Philip had difficulty styling his daughter’s hair and all he could give her was a crew cut. Fortunately, when Tracy started fixing Isabelle’s hair, she instantly made the little girl’s life a tad happier. Isabelle could finally go off to school with awesome hairstyles without feeling embarrassed.

When her mother passed away, Isabelle was only 9 years old, and this really crushed Tracy’s heart because she, herself had battled and survived cancer several years prior. She couldn’t imagine not being around her children, and having them grow up and go on with their lives without her.

Isabelle loves Tracy so much and her father is so grateful for all that she does for his daughter on a daily basis.

“Tracy is the best bus driver in the whole galaxy!” The little exclaimed.
