To say that teachers play an important role in the lives of their students is an understatement. Oftentimes it is the kind adult figure who helps burdened students see life more clearly and plan in optimism for their future.
To highlight the importance and value of good, thoughtful teachers, an online university recently released a new video asking six students to discuss how a teacher changed their lives.
One student reveals how a teacher helped him overcome a tragic accident and another how a teacher taught her self-acceptance.
No one knew the educator they were thanking was listening in, however. What came next was profoundly moving and inspiring.
“Sometimes you just don’t feel like you’re making an impact. To be told by someone that you have is something that I needed to hear.”
