When one takes the time to stop by a coffee shop to pick up their morning java, they expect more than the smell of freshly-roasted beans — they also expect an inspiring ambiance which propels them to be creative throughout the day.

Three years ago, artist Joshua Hara realized he was missing out on this experience. So, he decided to do something about it. As Hara described on Bored Panda, he started bringing sharpies and colored pencils to Starbucks to transform ordinary cups into marvelous works of art.

He wrote,

Since then I have amassed well over 300 cup comics that are sitting in a storage tub in my basement, patiently waiting to be taken on a roving gallery bus tour across the globe (we’ll mix in a boat for countries not connected to the United States).”

The artist says he will keep posting pictures of the newly-illustrated coffee cups to his Instagram account until he runs out of money, “or someone pushes me down and takes my pens away.”
