Autism is a mental condition that usually results in children having difficulty communicating and forming relationships. As a result, a negative stigma is often associated with the condition.
A five-year-old girl named Iris Grace, however, is demonstrating that certain hurdles to others can actually be a gift to some. Because she has autism, Iris gives exceptional attention to projects that she works on. As a result, she has created mind-blowing paintings that many have compared to legendary French painter Claude Oscar Monet.
Her paintings are lucidly colorful and leave viewers with a gentle feeling upon looking at them. In addition, each stroke of blue, green, and red seems to tell a story.
The Iris Grace website relays that at five, Iris is slowly learning how to speak whereas most kids learn how to talk by age two. She is presently in speech therapy, but is always encouraged to express herself through art as it is another medium of communication.
