These earbuds could be a game-changer.
Have you ever traveled somewhere new or met a friend from another country and wished you could communicate flawlessly? When a similar idea was presented in the movie The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, nearly everyone wished they had such a device. Now, one exists, and it is capable of translating any language into one’s native tongue in real time.
As the video above reveals, the groundbreaking idea was inspired when the creator met a French woman and wished he could communicate. After two years of hard work, The Pilot system was presented by Waverly Labs, a technology firm based in New York.
An app accompanies that innovative ear bud, allowing one to toggle through the languages. Included are French, Spanish, Italian, and English.
While the current model seems to access a slight delay before relaying translated speech in a computerized voice, it is likely this will be phased out as the invention gets upgraded.
The Pilot is comprised of two ear pieces that work with an app on your smart phone.
It allows real-time in-ear translations in French, Spanish, Italian, and English.
When it hits shelves in September, it is estimated to retail at $129.
The Pilot will retail for $129 in September and is available for pre-order here.
Imagine how the planet will change when humans can effortlessly communicate with each other. This device could be a game-changer.
