Matthew Roberts found out a young age that he was adopted at birth. Like many others who find themselves in the same situation, Roberts decided to find out who his biological parents were. After years of searching, he finally came upon some information that would eventually lead him to his real mother and father.
But what he could never have prepared himself for, was finding out that he was the son of one of America’s most notorious serial killers.

Matthew Roberts was raised in Rockwell, Illinois without any knowledge that his Swedish mother and German father were not, in fact, his biological parents. Then some time in the 5th grade, his sister decided to reveal to him that he was actually adopted. Not wanting to believe it, he questioned his parents and they ended up telling him that they adopted him as a baby.
