When staff from animal charity Rescue From The Hart got a call to say a small poodle had been knocked down by a car, they weren’t sure whether she would be easy to approach. But Layla (as they later named her) was desperate for some comfort and wanted a hug immediately. She then started licking her guardian angel gently, making her (and us) cry a little bit.
