Unorthodox Methods

During the year 2012, the police tried a very unorthodox method of getting more information on unsolved murder cases. They created hundreds of decks of cards that had various cold cases on them and distributed them in different prisons. Their thinking was, maybe one of the prisoners would know something and help find answers. Jill Ann Weatherwax was on one of the nine-of-spade cards. So far, no one has said anything about her case.

Still Sadly Unsolved

One of the detectives Bart Ledbetter, who belongs to the Fresno Police Department, is still confused by what transpired during Jill Ann’s murder. Her case is considered one of his primary 5 unsolved investigations. Although this may not appease her family much, he’s given his word that his department will “never forget a homicide.”
