In today’s day and age, it’s so easy to fall into the cynicism and negativity of life. The pressure of always trying to do better can and will eat a person up – both physically and mentally. All of us have a predetermined idea of what success and happiness is, and unfortunately, no matter how much we accumulate, some of us wouldn’t really be happy.

People who get the short end of the deal in their respective lives and careers obviously have it worse. Aside from the fact that they haven’t been able to keep up with the rest of the world, they are so caught up with their own problems and issues that it would be awfully hard for them to appreciate the world around them.

Well, illustrator Alex Noriega went through the trials and tribulations of life back in 2010, just like most people have. But instead of letting it overcome him, he put up a blog that allowed him to have a better understanding of how things in the world work.

”At some point in 2010, I was going through a crisis due to some issues at work. I decided to start this blog as a way of trying to find what I was doing wrong,” Alex Noriega wrote on his blog. ”I wanted to put on paper all that I had learned in life as simple as possible and try to see if what was happening around me made any sense. It didn’t.”

Although it didn’t work out as well as he would’ve liked it to be, he is hoping that through the illustrations that he posted on his blog, people would have an understanding of the world, better than he could’ve ever had.
