10. David Oyedepo Earnings Go Up To $150 Million

David Oyedepo is the richest pastor in Nigeria, he’s the founder and presiding Bishop of the megachurch Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State in Nigeria, and the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel. Oyedepo claims to have received a mandate from God to liberate the world from the devil through preaching his faith after having an 18-hour vision that led to the founding of his church. The Winner’s Chapel owns four private jets and several buildings located throughout the world, including London and the United States. In 1998 Oyedepo declared to have received by God the instruction to build a larger base for the church, resulting in the acquisition of a 530-acre facility known as Canaanland that currently is the home of a 50,000-seat capacity auditorium. Laura Schlessinger is an American radio and television host, socially conservative commentator and self-help books author. Her program Dr. Laura is described on her website as a show that “preaches, teaches, and nags about morals, values, and ethics”. Dr. Laura was non-religious until she began practicing Conservative Judaism in 1996. In 1998 during her talk show Schlessinger declared skateboarding magazine Big Brother to be “stealth pornography”, the store owner publicly denied she found pornography in his store and she sued him for lying, claiming that his denial had hurt her reputation, the case went to court and the judge dismissed her suit. Bill Ballance added to Dr. Laura’s involvement in controversies when selling nude photos of Schlessinger to a company specializing in Internet porn, the photos were taken in the mid-1970s when Schlessinger was involved in an affair with the then-married Ballance.
