Take A Tour Of This Amazing Floating Eco-Home!

The Waternest 100 is a unique and stylish home which was designed with nomadic, eco-friendly water-lovers in mind. Ever wanted to live on a lake? A river? Maybe even a calm, turquoise-colored sea? Well now you can try out all three (as long as you have a crazy budget, that is).

The Waternest 100 was developed for London-based EcoFloLife by Italian architect Giancarlo Zema. With a minimum of two bedrooms, it can sleep a family of four people, and unlike some mobile homes you wouldn’t lose out on any modern conveniences. In fact, the Waternest 100 is as luxurious as any posh hotel- just check out the promotion video above.

The nests are built to order and the largest model has over 1000 square feet of floor space, plus balconies overlooking your watery paradise. Best of all, the Waternest 100 is eco friendly and powered entirely by solar energy. Each home is built from locally sourced, recycled material. And to top it all off, the fancy floating homes can be moved from place to place!

Now for the downside: the cheapest Waternest costs half a million euros ($537,000), increasing to 800,000 euros ($859,225 ) for the larger models. They are definitely out of reach for most of us right now, but the unique concept and sustainable design deserves some recognition.

Still, we can dream. Maybe one day…
