“The tastiest meat I've ever eaten, and will ever eat, is giraffe,” Angelo Vukasovic said during an interview on World Giraffe Day.
In case you haven’t heard, one politician from Sweden caused quite the commotion on social media as of late after posting some photos about a few of the trips that he made in South Africa where he shamelessly hunted, killed, and ate some of the wild animals there.
Angelo Vukasovic, a treasurer for the Sweden Democrats Party, received some pretty serious backlash from the posts that he made online after showing off the animals that he killed and ate, animals that include such magnificent creatures like lions, hippos, and giraffes.
And to make matters worse, he told Swedish media that the best meat he has ever tasted was giraffe meat. The statement was made at probably the most inopportune time, during World Giraffe Day.
“The tastiest meat I’ve ever eaten, and will ever eat, is giraffe,” Angelo Vukasovic said during an interview on World Giraffe Day, a statement that understandably got him a lot of flak.
According to Vukasovic, he ate 80 percent of all the animals that he hunted and killed. And showing no semblance of remorse, he proudly posts photos of the animals’ remains, cooked and served on his dinner table, on Facebook.
In one of his numerous posts online, he showcased cooked lion meat with a written caption that reads, “lion meat tastes really good.” Some people from his social media network ‘liked’ the photos, commenting that the big cats are such a “nice trophy.” There were even some posting how “it must be delicious.”
The Sweden Democrats Party is reportedly looking into the situation and authorities are currently contemplating taking action against Vukasovic. Still, with people losing confidence in their political leaders these days, the last thing people from the political arena can do is start eating wild animals like Hannibal Lecter.
