The lead singer of The Beatles, John Lennon, signed autographs outside his apartment in New York City. As he did this, Mark Chapman, the man standing next to him in the picture, got ready to shoot and kill him just a minute after this photo was taken.
2. Tragedy in Paris
Pictured here is the metal band Eagles of Death with their frontman, Jesse Hughes. This image was taken on the night of November 13, 2015, moments before ISIS jihadists burst into the Bataclan music venue, yelling, ‘Where’s the singer? Where are the Yanks?’ The group was able to flee the stage before the terrorists proceeded to kill 90 members of the crowd with Kalashnikov assault rifles and explosives. It has been determined that Jesse Hughes, an outspoken supporter of anti-Islamist movements, was the main target of the deadly attack.
