11. Diagnosis of Stomach Flu
Diagnosing cases of viral gastroenteritis will most-likely be based on patient history and physical examination as lab tests can only detect rotavirus and norovirus infections and have no way of screening for other pathogens. Stools samples can only be used to rule out if the infection is due to bacteria or parasites.
