Growing up with a birth defect is not easy, especially when children can be so cruel. For Ivanka Danisová, it was extremely difficult. Being one of a set of triplets, she was the only daughter born with a congenital anomaly known as Goldenhar Syndrome, which left her without the normal structure of half her face. She spent her life finding a way to get through the pain in order to triumph over what doctor’s believed would end her life.
And now, after 4 amazing surgeries, she’s living her best one yet.
One Of Three Triplets
One of three daughters, triplets in fact, Ivanka, Janka and Monika Danisová were born on March 28, 1987. And while Ivanka’s sisters were completely normal, sadly Ivanka was born disfigured, the right side of her face highly undeveloped.
