Here is the formal statement I gave to Federal Police on 16 June 2012:

On a trip to visit family in Seoul in April, I was approached by a man and a woman who claimed to be North Korean defectors. They presented me with a DVD that recently came into their possession and asked me to translate it. They also asked me to post the completed film on the Internet so that it could reach a worldwide audience. I believed what I was told and an agreement was made to protect their identities (and mine).

Despite my concerns about what I was viewing when I returned home, I proceeded to translate and post the film on You Tube because of the film’s extraordinary content. I have now made public my belief that this film was never intended for a domestic audience in the DPRK. Instead, I believe that these people, who presented themselves as ‘defectors’ specifically targeted me because of my reputation as a translator and interpreter.

Furthermore, I now believe these people work for the DPRK. The fact that I have continued to translate and post the film in spite of this belief does not make me complicit in their intention to spread their ideology. I chose to keep posting this film because – regardless of who made it – I believe people should see it because of the issues it raises and I stand by my right to post it for people to share and discuss freely with each other.

I have translated this film, laid in the English voice over and subtitles, and on legal advice have blurred the identity of the presenter and/or blacked out certain elements.

Please share and discuss with as many people as you can, and if you have questions for me or want to discuss the content further, please do so below or go to:

I was like oh yeah crazy North Korean propaganda instead they are pointing out the same thing I have been trying to tell people just much more heavy hand. I will never agree with North Korea’s politics but this hopefully will open some peoples eyes.

Great film.I am a 22 year old living in the United States and hope and pray that things begin to change. I dont want to be part of this sick society and help it to grow more proposterous in any way.I am honestly ashamed of my nationality at times, upset with the religious lies i’ve been fed, and deeply saddened at the amount of life and livelihood taken from me and so many others across these states and throughout the world.

    Peace and Love to all

Ive only watched 12 minutes so far and my mind is reeling. This film disturbingly tells the tale of our world from the outside looking in, how we are controlled, and at the same time I can see how they use it to control their own people…

I found this film to be very informative and liked it’s message. I do, however have a problem with a certain view that was established early in the film and that is the view that the Bible is fiction and the God of the Bible is a sadist. Yes, it was manipulated by the propagandist’s, but that is something that the individual has to come to terms with and seek discernment from the Creator who inspired it.

I have no desire to get into any sort of religious discussion as I too had to look past the fact that the Bible was broken. We all eventually come to realize we were created, and evolution too found broken and just one more piece of the propagandist’s weapon on the masses. It is up to us to seek truth and to discern it once it is found. may we all find it ~peace

“We all eventually come to realize we were created, and evolution too found broken”

Er, no. The whole point of religion is that it’s a way to control, you missed the entire point of the film right there.

It is so important to see all sides of any argument, many opposite worldviews, contradicting interpretations of events to try and form an objective opinion and hopefully seeing the bigger picture. Without getting into the details of this documentary’s purpose and the aim of telling the events in a specific order, it shows many documented facts that are true and could be checked at any time. Facts about wars and industry are sadly a bitter reality that we, the normal people, have to live with and pay for every day, things that shape our lives. What is the legacy that we are leaving for our children? what values? what do we really teach them..
