At present, 72 million Americans are obese – not overweight, obese. This is largely a result of increased portion sizes and low-quality foods which are high in refined sugar, artificial flavorings and preservatives, and trans fats.

However, few people are aware of just how unhealthy processed foods are, or how many calories they contain.

To inspire people to make healthier choices, an Instagram account called Calorie Brands redesigned famous products to show the exact amount of calories they have.

@CalorieBrands states:

“This is how brands should look like to help you achieve your summer body goals.”

An average adult woman should consume between 1900 – 2000 calories, whereas a man should consume 2300 – 2500. It’s easy to eat more than one needs, which is why the following revised packages are so brilliant.

Undoubtedly, if packages were redesigned to display how many calories they contain, more people would rethink bingeing on their favorite treats in front of the TV.
