When Mojo, a pit bull/amstaff mix, was just three months old, his life was already in danger. The pup suffered from severe demodectic mange and had only hours to live. Lucky for him, a kind human named Joey Wagner sensed this and took him immediately to an animal hospital.
Reportedly, Mojo’s former caretaker had tried their best to care for the pup, but the mange case was too severe. With extensive care, the dog’s condition got much better. And, not surprisingly, adoption requests started to pour in.
Unfortunately, because of the severity of his case, ordinary adoptions were not considered. When Wagner learned about this, he decided to step into the pup’s life one more time and offer him a furrever home.
Wagner, who is of the founders of the non-profit Baie Ste Marie Animal Society in Nova Scotia, has a special place in his heart for animals. Mojo couldn’t have landed a better caretaker.
The following video reveals the happy reunion between the two. Though the pup was still hairless, nothing could hinder his happiness at seeing Wagner again.

It’s been three years since Wagner and Mojo adopted each other. Though the pit bull’s coat never fully returned, he doesn’t seem bothered by it one bit.
