A dog named Brinks can’t stop smiling after his human, Jon, rescued him from life on the streets.

According to BarkPost, the famous pit bull seemingly adopted Jon and his dog, Demo, when he spotted them across the street and trotted over to say ‘hi’. Once Jon determined that Brinks was a stray and watched the two dogs to make sure they behaved well together, he decided to take in the pit bull until his owner was found.

Well, even after a month of posting flyers and checking missing/lost dog reports, no one claimed Brinks. So, the animal lover decided that the happy pit bull needed to join their clan.

When Brinks was adopted, he was 11 months old. This December, he will celebrate his 13th birthday!

The pit bull’s story has gone viral due to the fact that he frequently smiles at situations and people he enjoys. His caretaker, Jon, explains:

“The most amazing thing is how Brinks grins like a human frequently in response to situations he enjoys, especially in the house. He smiles for treats, he smiles when you greet him in the morning and when he’s sleeping. He grins when he rides in the car, when he lies in the sun (or in front of the fire) and whenever he generally seems happy.”

Just take a look for yourself!
