People Are Identifying The Charlottesville Nazis And Getting Them Fired

In case you missed it, all hell broke loose on Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia, when neo-Nazis, members of the KKK, and white supremacists stormed the town to protest the removal of a Confederate statue. As counter-protests sprang up, the state Governor had no choice but to declare a “state of emergency.”

After a car with Ohio license plates plowed through a group of protesters, a 32-year-old woman was killed. James Fields, 20, who was driving the car was subsequently charged with second-degree murder. In total, more than 30 people were injured — including 19 from the crash.

Because President Donald Trump was slow to denounce those are responsible for inciting hate, activists such as Twitter user @YesYoureRacist decided to help identify the Charlottesville neo-Nazis. The Twitter user describes their work as “scouring the underbelly of Twitter to expose people who say they’re not racist, and then go on to prove otherwise,” and goodness, they succeeded.

Since Friday evening, @YesYoureRacist has been posting the identities of those who attended the far-right rallies.

Reportedly, at least one person has been sacked from his job as a result of activists’ efforts.
