On March 8th, a number of police officers in the country of Lithuania spent their shifts handing out flowers to women for a very kind purpose.

Bored Panda reports that the gesture, in which ladies are handed flowers to celebrate their worth rather than tickets, has been a tradition for the past few years.

Some appreciate the kindness shared between two human beings while others on the net have condemned the efforts, calling them ‘patriarchal’ and ‘sexist’.

One thing is for sure: This world would be a much nicer place if more people felt inspired to hand out flowers versus snide remarks or condemning judgments. Plus, it’s nice to see police officers in the news for good deeds rather than unpunished brutality.
