New Year, New Start: This Moving Film Will Make You Call The Friend You’re Still Holding A Grudge Against

A beautiful Japanese animation about love and forgiveness

This gorgeous short anime film about loss and reconciliation is really touching, especially if you have ever done something bad to a friend and regretted it deeply (or had something bad done to you, and regretted the fact you couldn’t forgive).

The animation is called A reflection of one’s mind and was made by Tama Art University artist Kohei Nakaya. The story of a fight between two girls and the aftermath is silent, except for a beautiful piano piece (Debussy’s Clair de Lune) throughout. It’s so moving it might make you want to call an old friend and begin 2015 with a little love and forgiveness!
