On the night of December 6, 2014, just before 6:00 pm, 19-year-old Jessica Chambers told her mom she was going out to have dinner and get her car washed. Videos from her car’s security camera and other sources show she had been in several locations until 6:30 pm when her trail suddenly went cold.
A few hours later, a frantic 911 call about a car fire in Courtland, Mississippi, sent the police and firefighters to respond in a hurry. They found not only a car being consumed by fire but also a woman in a terrible physical state struggling to walk toward them.
