4. Berenstein or Berenstain?

A lot of people insist on remembering the children’s book series as “The Berenstein Bears” but it isn’t so. The correct spelling has always been “The Berenstain Bears,” created by Stan and Jan Berenstain and their son Mike. The book was first published in 1962, and later became a cartoon show presenting Mama, Papa, Sister, Brother and Honey Bear—the famous family in Bear Country.
