In the movie The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy, played by Judy Garland, wakes up after being knocked out and swept by a violent tornado. She then tells her dog, “Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kanas anymore.” Most people insist that it’s “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore, Toto.”

43. How many are coming?

One of the most quoted and spoofed lines is the one from the movie Field of Dreams starred by Kevin Costner. In one scene, Costner’s character Ray Kinsella is in the middle of his cornfield at twilight where he hears a voice in his head. The voice keeps repeating, “If you build it, he will come.” It makes sense for people to mistake the “he will come” for “they will come” because after hearing the voice, Ray magically sees a vision of baseball players on a baseball field right before his eyes.
