Millions Swore To Have These “Memories” That NEVER Existed

38. Heard from Casablanca. Was it really?

One of the most famous lines in movie history is arguably the one supposedly mentioned by Humphrey Bogart which is, “Play it again, Sam.” Unfortunately, that “famous line” doesn’t actually exist, because what Rick Blaine, Humphrey’s character, actually says is, “You played it for her, you can play it for me. If she can stand it, I can. Play it!” But for most people, for some weird reason, the actual line is a whole lot of words for what amounts to “Play it again, Sam.”

39. Where do you want me to beam you again?

Someone’s inner geek is screaming “Blasphemy!” at people for getting this iconic line wrong. Most Star Trek fans swear that what Capt. Kirk says in the movie is, “Beam me up, Scotty.” But Capt. Kirk and Scotty disagree. The line is actually, “Scotty, beam me up.”
