Millions Swore To Have These “Memories” That NEVER Existed

While suggestive of a snack you can grab and enjoy in a “jiffy,” the popular peanut butter was never called that; it’s named Jif. Many people say they remember it was named Jiffy and cut short later so it would sound catchy. Perhaps somewhere out there, in a parallel universe, there is some truth to it, but there is no solid evidence supporting this claim—at least in our world.

An all-time favorite nursery rhyme, Three Little Pigs is best known for the part where the Big Bad Wolf supposedly said this line, “I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house down!”  The only problem is, he didn’t say it like that. What he actually said was, “I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your house in!” It blows your mind why nearly all of us think the first line is correct, doesn’t it? The explanation could be that, in other published versions of the story, the Big Bad Wolf said, “I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow this straw down!”
